in case ya'll havent heard yet, me and adrienne are now officially engaged. haha im sure this comes as no surprise to anyone (i can hear everyone thinking, "yeah yeah, big fuggin deal. its about time, you idiots...") so no turning back now.... oh man im SCREWED!!
i proposed to her while in bed in our pajamas side by side (screw that on one knee shit) and then afterwards we started off the momentous occasion by sleeping in until 4:30pm and by ordering a huge fuckin' pizza with some other greasy sidedishes from bunty's.
life just rules like that. |

Oh my GOD. a livejournal post by randy? and i BITCH in it too?? man, looks like ive become one of them. shoot me...
so damn the design is no more.
after about a year in the freelance artist game i have decided that it is not for me. ive had fun drawing for other people and working on projects that helped contribute to the music scene in some way. im greatful for all your positive feedback and kind words and for helping establish damn the design and myself as a local artist. but that's where ive figured i needed to draw the line.
im starting to feel like ive been whoring out my talent to make a few bucks. and that makes me very uncomfortable. i dont like being told what to do, what to change, what to fix and how MY artwork should look like. no amount of money should ever make me think twice about what im drawing. i used to draw for myself and be happy with the result, but having to draw for other people is completely different. i no longer have control of what makes me happy. it has to be what makes my CLIENT happy. and other people's opinions is the last thing i should ever give a shit about
if im going to hate my job than have it be something else other than something i used to be very passionate about.
so in short, i will not be doing any custom artwork for a long time. i will try to get back into the habit of drawing again, and if anything i might sell some pieces as is. but i no longer want people to try and manipulate how i draw. that to me seems really fucked up.
my website will still be around only to serve as a portfolio of my work.
and once again, thanks to everyone who supported me and gave me the opportunity to do something on a larger scale. its just too bad it turned out to be something i didnt want to do.
in other news, starting early september i will be going to school and i will be taking a civil/CAD technology course for the first year and then architectural engineering for second. and then maybe one day i will finally get myself a real job haha.

this morning me and adrienne found out that kaylee was put to sleep. i knew it was going to happen sooner than later, but i dont think i couldve prepared myself for the devasting grief and sadness i have been feeling all day. kaylee wasn't technically my dog, but i loved and took care of that dog like she was my own. i loved that grumpy fuzzball with all my heart. i never lost someone i love. funny that my first experience would be a furry dog. i keep remembering seeing her in the morning when i woke up and how she would lay on my stomach and slowly inch her way up to lick my face. or how whenever i would fart it would startle her and she would give this funny look towards my butt haha. im gonna miss when she would rest her head on my lap while i was eating at the kitchen table, hoping i would drop some food on her face. i even miss her stinky ass breath and the little clumps of poop that cling to her fuzzy bum.
kaylee, we will always remember you. we love you. and we will miss you so much.

-got a new car today. 2002 echo. hollah.
-bought a copy of charles burns' BLACK HOLE. i suggest everyone check it out. even for just the artwork alone. absolutely amazing.
-work is good. although it leaves me with very little free time. it's been getting really busy lately now that it's getting closer to christmas. but there are still some days where i sit and do nothing but draw or go online.
